Despre eveniment: Kandersteg International Scout Center din Elveția a deschis aplicațiile pentru sezoanele de vară și toamnă 2019. Dacă vrei o nouă provocare care îți va oferi oportunitatea de a trăi timp de 3 luni în inima Alpilor, înconjurat de cercetași din toată lumea și de a petrece  într-un cadru feeric, aceasta e oportunitatea pentru tine!

Profilul participanţilor: Pentru a deveni staff este necesar să fii membru ONCR cu cotizația plătită la zi, să ai 18 ani împliniți, să cunoști limba engleză și să poți motiva ce abilități sau competențe te vor face să fii remarcat la Kandersteg. Foarte important: participanții trebuie să aibă disponibilitatea de a fi prezenți de la începutul și până la finalul sezonului.

Costuri: Participantul va suporta atât costul transportului, cât și al cheltuielilor personale de pe întreaga durată a șederii sale, căreia i se adaugă suma de 10 euro pentru Departamentul Internațional. Cazarea, mesele și orice alte necesități sunt asigurate de către organizatori.

În procesul de selecţie a participanţilor se va ţine cont de vechimea în organizaţie (minim 6 luni) și de motivaţia de a participa la eveniment. Cu toții știm cine a fost BP și ce rol are el în istoria mișcării scout. Dar câți dintre noi știam că la finalul primei jamboree din Londra, BP le-a spus participanților că visul lui e de a crea o mini-jamboree permanentă, unde atmosfera cercetășiei internaționale să fie mereu prezentă. Trei ani mai târziu, visul său a devenit realitate prin crearea Centrului Internațional Cercetăşesc din Kandersteg (Kandersteg International Scout Centre – KISC).

kiscAnul acesta, în 12 aprilie, KISC a împlinit 93 de ani de la fondare, iar 3 zile mai târziu, 19 cercetași din 11 țări (Danemarca, Finlanda, Olanda, Elveția, Cehia, Portugalia, Regatul Unit, Malta, Grecia, Ungaria și bineînteles România) ne-am întâlnit la centru pentru a ne lua în primire rolul de ambasadori ai mini-jamboreei permanente, pentru a întelege mai bine care este rolul nostru și a pune bazele strategiei de promovare activă a KISC în cadrul organizațiilor din țările pe care le reprezentăm.

Ce am făcut și ce urmează?

Am avut oportunitatea de a lucra întreg weekendul cu oameni pasionați de a duce visul lui BP mai departe – unii aflați la prima vizită în Kandersteg, iar cei mai mulți dintre noi având o istorie personală cu KISC. Pentru a avea un punct comun de plecare, am vizitat toate facilitățile centrului, atât cele deschise publicului cât și cele din “spatele cortinei” unde o mână de cercetași voluntari (The Pinkies) se asigură că totul merge strună. Am primit mai multe informații despre planurile centrului, precum și provocările recente și actuale. Au urmat o serie de workshopuri foarte interesante unde am dezbătut care este rolul nostru ca ambasadori, care este “călătoria vizitatorului” din momentul în care află despre KISC până la întoarcerea din Kandersteg și care sunt grupurile țintă unde ar trebui să ne concentrăm atenția atunci când promovăm Centrul Internațional Scout.

kisck2Probabil unul din cele mai importante puncte din program au fost discuțiile legate de specificul fiecărei țări, am văzut care a fost prezența țărilor noastre în Kandersteg în ultimii 4 ani și am dezbătut care sunt provocările cercetașilor din țară care doresc să viziteze centrul fie în cadrul unui eveniment sau ca staff. Cu surprindere am aflat că provocările cercetaşilor sunt foarte similare indiferent de organizația din care provin. Am pornit cu forțe proaspete pe direcția analizei acestora și care sunt cele pe care le putem aborda – am învățat multe de la ambasadorii mai versați care au trecut prin provocări similare și ne-au ajutat cu idei și sugestii care au funcționat și funcționează în țările lor – de la canale de promovare la idei de fundraising. Nu în ultimul rând, am aflat mai multe informații despre diversele oportunități pe care orice cercetaș le are pentru a ajunge în Kandersteg.

În două zile, 19 cercetași entuziaști și pasionați, am lucrat împreună cu echipa de coordonare a Centrului Internațional Scout și am pus bazele strategiei comune a rețelei de ambasadori ai centrului, precum și a planurilor de acțiune specifice fiecărei țări, pentru a ne asigura că la întoarcere vom folosi tot ceea ce am învățat și dezbătut în mijlocul Alpilor pentru a crește vizibilitatea KISC în cadrul organizaților  noastre și pentru a putea oferi informații, suport și sprijin tuturor celor care doresc să “trăiască visul”.

M-am întors din Kandersteg plină de energie și entuziasm, ca de fiecare dată când am fost acolo. Am cunoscut oameni la fel de entuziaști cu care am dezbătut “cum putem să fim cei mai buni ambasadori” până târziu în noapte și am făcut planuri pentru a ne asigura că cercetașii din țările noastre au toate informațiile și sprijinul necesare pentru a “trăi visul lui BP”. În consecință, urmăriți pagina dedicată KISC pe site, dar până atunci, știați că:

  • Primii cercetași români au vizitat KISC în 1931
  • Există a cameră românească la centru, decorată cu obiecte tradiționale
  • Aproximativ 100 de cercetași aleg anual să trăiască visul lui BP devenind “Pinkies”
  • “The Pinkies” își au numele datorită tricourilor roz pe care le poartă
  • Plimbându-te pe holurile din “The New Chalet”, poți vedea pozele tuturor celor care au fost staff în ultimii 33 de ani
  • Aproximativ 10.000 cercetași vizitează anual Centrul Internațional Scout

Despre eveniment: Timp de 3 luni ai şansa de a face parte din staff-ul KISC! A fi Pinkie – așa cum sunt cunoscuţi membrii staff-ului – reprezintă o experiență pe care orice cercetaș și-o dorește și prin care trebuie să treacă o dată în viață. Mai mult decât atât, vei face parte dintr-o mare familie internațională și vei locui în cel mai mare centru scout, unde vei întâlni cercetași din toate colțurile lumii!

Profilul participanţilor: Este necesar să ai 18 ani împliniți, să cunoști limba engleză și să poți motiva ce abilități sau competențe te vor face să fii remarcat la Kandersteg.

Ești pasionat de animație? Vrei să înveți să lucrezi cu oameni cu dizabilități fizice sau psihice,  să înveți franceză sau doar să te bucuri de ‘macarons’ și ‘croissants’ în fiecare dimineață?
Dacă răspunsul  este da, atunci aplică până în data de 10 aprilie pentru unul dintre cele 4 plasamente EVS  oferite de MAS (Specialized Host Home Marc Toussaint).
 
Unde?
Localizată în Reims, Franța, MAS este o organizație non-guvernamentală care oferă cazare și sprijin în activitatea zilnică persoanelor cu dezabilități fizice și psihice.
 
Cât mă costă?
Voluntarii vor avea cazarea și masa asigurată în Reims, într-un apartament localizat aproape de locul de muncă, iar pe durata întregului plasament (între 6 și 12 luni) vor oferi ajutor echipei de animație în organizarea de activități culturale și recreative pentru persoanele cu dizabilități ( jocuri, ateliere de gătit, muzică, poezie, balneoterapie, etc). În conformitate cu regulamentul programului ERASMUS+ voluntarilor li se va asigura și o alocație lunară (bani de buzunar) în valoare de 115 euro, iar transportul din România în Franta și retur le va fi decontat în proporție de 90%.

Una dintre condițiile pentru a fi selectat este cunoașterea limbii franceză la nivel intermediar, dar și deschiderea la mediul cultural și social.

Vrei sa faci voluntariat si sa descoperi o noua cultura in acelasi timp? Daca raspunsul tau este DA, atunci avem o propunere pentru tine!

Centrul Scout Kapraluv mlyn cauta 1 voluntar roman pentru un stagiu in cadrul Serviciului European de voluntariat pe o perioada de 12 luni.

Mai jos aveti, in limba engleza detaliile legate ce implica munca voastra de voluntari acolo si de centru (locatie si facilitati).

Working place:

We work both outside and inside, dependently on the weather and the season. Outside we usually make some programme with children – in the garden, on the meadow or in the forest. There is also still enough work around the building so it is also part of our job (e.g. cutting gras, picking apples…). Sometimes the volunteers are taken to more remote place for the conservation work in the Protected Landscape Area or within a educational programme.
Inside there are three parts for the accommodation, small and big hall, canteen, kitchen and office. Except educational programme held in whole building, volunteers usually work in the kitchen (assist the cookers) or in the office which consists of one bigger room for staff, one smaller room for volunteers and small kitchen. Everybody has access to the computer with internet.

Leisure time opportunities:

Kapraluv mlyn is situated in the beautiful area of the Ricka valley ideal for outdoor activities from jogging and biking to rockclimbing and caving. Natural lake for swimming (with a restaurant in the summer) is 20 minutes walk. The ranch offering horse riding is 10 minute walk. There are plenty of leisure time opportunities in Brno, the second largest city in the Czech Republic.

Economy:

The amount of the pocket money that a volunteer receives follows EVS rules. When you eat at Kapraluv mlyn and occasionally visit some culture event or buy some basic needs, it is enough. Official currency is the Czech crown (CZK). There are a lot of cash-machines and exchange offices in Brno.

Rules, preferences and restrictions:

Kapraluv mlyn is a non-smoking area. Consumption of alcohol and drugs is strictly forbidden here (a pub is 300 metres down the valley). Smoking is possible only outside the Kapraluv mlyn’s property. It is not possible to bring your own pets.

Location:

Kapraluv mlyn is located 2 kilometres from the Ochoz u Brna village (1200 inhabitants), there is a shop, post office, doctor, Roman Catholic church (service every Sunday) and several typical Czech pubs. However, Kapraluv mlyn is very close to Brno, a regional capital city with 400 000 inhabitants, five universities, a lot of historical monuments, great cultural life and sport opportunities. It is just 10 minutes to Brno by the public transport, Brno downtown is accessible within 30 minutes by public transport (bus going at least every hour except the night).

Accomodation and food:

Accomodation for volunteers is provided at Kapraluv mlyn in lockable rooms with two or three beds and own bathroom (photos at www.kapraluvmlyn.cz). It is possible that during the night there are only volunteers, not staff, in the Centre. When we cook meals for the guests we can provide the perfect home-made cuisine 3 times a day for volunteers as well. Small kitchen with a sink is located in the corridor providing opportunity to make continental breakfasts, cook tea or coffee, heat in microwave etc. Wireless internet is available for free, but cell phone signal in most indoor spaces is poor. Washing machine is available for free.

Social environment:

The Kapraluv mlyn team consists of full and part time staff members and a group of Czech volunteers who provide great support. Most of the staff members are 25-30 years of age and together with a head and a deputy directors below 40 they make relax and welcoming atmosphere based on mutual respect and confidence. Nevertheless they all are hard-workers often staying overnight to finish their jobs. They love their work and want to kickstart the newly established institution.

Proposed activities for EVS volunteers:

Kapraluv mlyn offers to volunteers learning possibilities in the following topics: conservation management, environmental education methods, sustainable technologies and environment-friendly building techniques. Throughout the volunteer experience the participans will have a chance to meet with different Brno NGOs, city representatives and to explore successful environmental projects. As a result of the everyday contact with Kapraluv mlyn guests (mostly Czech and foreign high school students), volunteers will be given the opportunity to explore different cultures and on the other hand a volunteer represents his own culture to the guests.
Language training will be part of the voluntary experience.

Volunteers will become members of the Kapraluv mlyn staff. Although it is impossible for volunteers to lead environmental education programme on their own, they could help leaders by carrying props etc. and watch the programmes. They will also help with preparation of the environmental programmes and with everyday operation of the centre. Personal project of a volunteer should focus on application of the experience obtained at Kapraluv mlyn (either in nature conservation, environmental education, sustainable technologies, environmentaly friendly building techniques) in his homeland and/or a career. Thanks to informal connections between the Kapraluv mlyn and many Brno NGOs it is also possible to visit organizations with different missions and methods of work: conservation, civil rights, animal rigths, social inclusion, anti-discrimination campaigns. In this case, volunteers will obtain possibility to explore activities of different Czech NGOs.

During EVS service at Kapraluv mlyn, volunteers will pass through different kinds of jobs. The work scheme is balanced to mix manual and intellectual activities. Volunteers are supposed to participate at Kapraluv mlyn everyday duties (looking after the garden and animals, help in kitchen, clean-up, maintenance of Kapraluv mlyn grounds, etc.), environmental education programmes (assisting lecturers, creating, testing and evaluating their own environmental education programmes and projects), natural management (cutting grass and invasive plants in natural reservations under supervision of the Moravian karst rangers with special training in natural management techniques). They should also participate in a long-time project of construction of house for future volunteers made of natural materials.
Working hours are flexible and up to agreement between volunteers and coordinator. Main point affecting the working time are programmes for children (usually Monday-Friday, the most in Summer). Volunteer has right to two free days per week (usually weekend) but he has to arrange it always with coordinator in advance. It is also possible to go home for longer time (e.g. Christmas).
Time schedule:
35 hours per week

8 hours of manual work
8 hours of supporting works for environmental education
6 hours for volunteers personal project
4 hours of occasional works
3 hours of language courses
2 hours of meeting and service evaluation with coordinator and other volunteers
2 hours of meeting with mentor
2 hours of special educational programme (NGO, environment, conservation)

In time schedule are also included two hour spent with mentor. Every volunteer has a mentor (usually person of same gender and similar age) who can help him with orientation in local environment, with problems in the work, with other people, or how spend leisure time etc. Time spent with mentor in addition to these two hours is up to agreement between volunteer and mentor.

In line with the mission of the Kapraluv mlyn Scout Environmental Education Centre we prefer volunteers interested in nature conservation topics, environmental education, sustainable technologies and leisure time activities for kids and youth.

Although we appreciate skilled volunteers, we take our EVS participation as a way to share our knowledge and teach the necessary skills. Open-mindedness, will to learn new things and discipline are qualities we are asking for.

Reason, why we want to host the EVS volunteers, is clear. Although other volunteers are coming to us, most of them are Czech and their activities are occasional. We want to work with volunteers on long-term basis and also provide them possibility of intercultural exchange. Also we have good experience from 2005-8 when we hosted some EVS-ers. We think that this type of cooperation can bring big additional value to both sides.

JUNIOR PROFESSIONALS IN DELEGATION (JPD)

A new traineeship programme

Following the phasing out of the Junior Experts in Delegation (JED) programme by the end of 2012, the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy (High Representative) and the European Commission (Commission) decided to establish a successor regime from 2013 to continue to attract highly qualified junior professionals from the EU Member States in the European Union Delegations (Delegations).

Joint Decision pdf - 478 KB [478 KB]  of the Commission and the High Representative establishing a High Level Traineeship Programme in the Delegations of the European Union and theRules Governing this Programme in Partnership with the Member States of the European Union (EU) was adopted on 12.06.2012.

This Joint Decision has been further specified by a Decision of the Chief Operating Officer of the European External Action Service (EEAS) on the Implementing Rules of the High Level Traineeship Programme pdf - 164 KB [164 KB] Deutsch (de) español (es) français (fr) português (pt) which was adopted on 22/01/2014.

Applicants are strongly invited to read carefully both decisions before applying to this traineeship programme.

An opportunity to deepen partnership with EU Member States in the field of training

This programme is an important contribution to the inter-institutional partnership between the EEAS and the Commission, as well as to the continuation of individual partnerships with each EU Member State in the field of training (the previous JED programme was created in 1984). The new scheme keeps the main strengths and spirit of its predecessor: it is based on a pre-selection of eligible candidates by the partner EU Member States and the preservation, where possible, of a quota of training places per EU Member State.

The authorities of each partner EU Member State have a key role to play in the management of the programme, such as the organisation of the pre-selection of candidates to be presented to the EEAS and the Commission pursuant to the rules established by the Joint Decision, or the possible sponsoring and financing of additional traineeship places.

A new opportunity to be trained from inside an Delegation in the post-Lisbon context

The purpose of this programme is to enable talented and promising junioruniversity post-graduates who hold at least a Masters Degree (see Diplomas Annex pdf - 245 KB [245 KB] ) from the EU Member States to gain first-hand experience in the work of Delegations and a deeper insight into their role in the implementation of EU external relations policies, including the Common Foreign Security Policy (CFSP).

In principle, Delegations accredited to third countries and to major international organisations are placed under the authority of the High Representative and represent the EU. Delegations act in close cooperation with the EU Member States” diplomatic and consular missions (Art. 221 of the Treaty on the Functioning of the EU). They shall support the EU Member States in their diplomatic relations and in their role of providing consular protection to EU citizens in third countries (according to Art. 35 of the Treaty on the EU). In most third countries (more than 125) Delegations have now responsibility for locally representing the EU towards the host state.  Where this is not the case, an EU Member State Embassy has agreed to represent the EU.

The programme is open to those trainees (JPD) showing a great interest and motivation for the mission entrusted to Delegations, sharing the values and principles of the European Union and committed to defend the latter and the place of the European Union in the World.

Staff in the Delegations shall comprise EEAS staff and, where appropriate for the implementation of the European Union budget and European Union policies other than those under the remit of the EEAS, Commission staff. The whole staff in a Delegation is placed under the authority of a Head of Delegation, Ambassador.

Junior Professionals in Delegation will similarly be deployed, depending the nature of their functions and tasks, in both the EEAS sections of the Delegations (for political, press and information functions) and in those under the authority of the Commission (aid management, trade, economic issues, etc.).

Financing of the programme

The traineeship placements are financed through 2 folders:

  • an “EU folder” financed by the credits of the EEAS and of the Commission; the EEAS financing will only cover placements within sections or functions under its direct authority while the Commission credits will finance placements within sections or functions under its authority;
  • a “bilateral folder” financed by voluntary financial contributions of partner EU Member States on the basis of bilateral sponsoring agreements with the EEAS and/or the Commission. Such contributions may finance placements within sections under the authority of the EEAS and/or the Commission.

Number of traineeship positions in 2014

The EEAS plans to commit in 2014 credits covering the expenses of 1 JPD/traineeship position per EU Member State (i.e. a total of 28 JPD) to be deployed in the Delegations for political, press and information functions. The Commission has also decided to finance 1 JPD/traineeship position per EU Member State to be deployed in the Delegations (i.e. a total of 28 JPD). Most positions will be located within operational sections “OPR” in charge of the management of external aid (e.g. institution & capacity building, economic development, energy & climate change, social sectors, governance, infrastructure, rural development, food security, etc. – Development and Cooperation DG – EuropeAid). Here is the standard description of training assignments for Commission operational functions pdf - 15 KB [15 KB] . Other positions may cover “Trade & Economic Affairs” (Trade DG), management of the “Instrument for Stability/Governance” (Service for Foreign Policy Instruments), “European integration” (Enlargement DG) and “Humanitarian aid” (Humanitarian Aid & Civil Protection DG). Should the number of positions funded by the EEAS or the Commission be higher or lower than the number of EU Member States, an equivalent number of candidates will be selected amongst the best qualified, taking into account that a maximum of partner EU Member States should benefit from the positions available. The EEAS and the Commission apply an equal opportunity policy.

Applicants are strongly invited to take into consideration these indications before applying for Commission JPD/traineeship positions.

The partner EU Member States have been invited to communicate to the EEAS and the Commission whether they would in principle be interested to resume or initiate the financing of additional junior professionals through a “bilateral folder”, and to provide indications on the envisaged numbers, timelines and the list of thematic/geographic areas and/or Delegations.

What we offer

Under this programme selected candidates might be offered a single traineeshipagreement of a fixed-term of nine (9) months. A renewal of the agreement for another period of nine (9) months may be offered. Hence, eighteen (18) consecutive months maximum.

Trainees or “JPD” will get a monthly basic grant of 1,300 EUR, as well as a monthly accommodation contribution of 1,000 EUR to which a monthly hardship contribution will be added (see LCA table pdf - 58 KB [58 KB] ). Overall, trainees will receive a monthly package within a range of +/- 2,300 EUR to +/- 3,000 EUR, depending on the place of the traineeship. Further financial contributions are foreseen: 2,000 EUR installation contribution, 2,500 EUR contribution towards the cost of the journey and 500 EUR contribution towards the cost of the insurance premium.

Finally, credits will also be allocated to Delegations (not to trainees) to cover the mission and security expenses of the JPD.

How to apply

There are 2 parallel pre-selection processes: one for the EEAS and one for the Commission.

Any spontaneous application sent directly to the EEAS or to the Commission will be rejected.

The modalities for presenting applications to the respective national authorities are determined by the EU Member States and should in principle be made available on their relevant websites pdf - 124 KB [124 KB] and/or at the addresses of their contact points.

Insurances

Candidates who accept an offer for a Traineeship Agreement must conclude by their own means a set of individual insurances against sickness expenses, against the risk of accident and for repatriation, adapted to their country of assignment (specified in the agreed offer). The EEAS may ask the trainee to provide all relevant documents concerning the trainee”s insurance coverage.

The preceding paragraph applies, mutatis mutandis, to the insurance coverage of the trainee’s dependents following him or her to the place of the traineeship.

It is recalled that the default of subscription by the trainee to above individual schemes may lead to immediate termination of the traineeship agreement without financial compensation.

Description

Do you have the time and skill to be a volunteer? Whatever your skills or experience, whatever your age or ability, whatever your time commitment, we have a wide range of volunteering opportunities at SHARE. Volunteers are needed to assist in all areas of the Share Centre both short-term and long-term. to work at SHARE.

Every summer the Share Centre in Northern Ireland welcomes about 15 international volunteers from all over the world, to come and help. These volunteers stay between 1 week to several months, living and working alongside our staff and volunteers. They participate in a variety of jobs from helping those with a disability, to working in the Centre’s garden, to assisting our water and land based activity programmes. Any young international volunteers, who are interested in short or long term volunteering at the Share Discovery Village please enquire.

The busy peak season runs from March to September – this is when volunteers will mostly be required to help our qualified instructors provide activity programmes and assist with the needs of our guests.  During the winter months we mainly carry-out maintenance and cleaning projects.

Eligibility

Share works closely with many different groups and societies every year. Many of our 10,000 guests come from the M.S. Society, the Down Syndrome Society, the Muscular Dystrophy Society, the RNIB, the NDCS as well as primary and secondary school groups, youth groups, church groups, scouts and guides and many, many more. All in all we work with a very diverse range of people for whom we need a diverse range of volunteers.

Benefits

Food and accommodation are provided for all volunteers.  Volunteers have access to all the facilities offered at Share. Accommodation for long term volunteers is provided in two houses, both located one-quarter mile from the main Share site. All international volunteers must be a minimum of 18 years old.  SHARE offers not only food and accommodation but also opportunities to meet a huge variety of people of all ages and abilities from all around the world and make lifelong friends. You will be helping people and learning lots of new skills and you get all this on the beautiful shore of Lough Erne.

In order to provide a safe environment for the guests visiting SHARE, all staff and long term volunteers must be vetted in accordance with the guidelines provided by Access NI for the protection of children and vulnerable adults. Asociatia Comunitatilor Interculturale impreuna cu Asociatia GMS (Gemerský mládežnícky spolok) din Krásnohorská Dlhá Lúka, Slovacia, cauta un baiat (18-29 de ani) pentru un stgiu de voluntariat in cadrul Serviciului European de Voluntariat. Stagiul incepe: in data de 1 aprilie 2014 si se termina in 31 ianuarie 2015. Voluntarii vor fi implicati in urmatoarele activitati:
1. Fotografierea si digitalizarea bisericilor, cimitirelor, muzeelor din regiunea Rožňava, respectiv colectarea de date si actualizarea bazelor de date despre satele din jur, ONG-uri, biserici, si atractii turistice. (www.rozsnyovidek.sk)
2. Activitati in cadrul cursurilor de tras cu arcul.
3. Ajutor in organizarea evenimentului Vara Gomor-Tornai 2013, editia a 3-a
4. Ajutor in implementarea evenimentelor organizate de GMS si asociatiile partnere – excursii, tabere de vara, seminarii, schimburi de tineri, ateliere de lucru etc.
5. Activitati in legatura cu functionarea biroului GMS- intretinere, vopsire, curatare etc.
In perioada stagiului, voluntarii vor avea posibilitatea de a invata limba slovaca cu ajutorul unui profesor. Voluntarii vor fi cazati in Pensiunea Jozefína din Krásnohorská Dlhá Lúka. Va avea la dispozitie o camera, o bucatarie complet utilata- aragaz electric cu cuptor, cuptor cu microunde, frigider, congelator, etc; baie, calculator, internet, biciclete pentru excursii in zona. 
Voluntarul va primi 95 de euro/luna bani de buzunar, si 150 de euro/ luna pentru alimente, deci in total 245 de euro/luna.
